The thoughts of my 8 year old

Me- Matty do you see the rainbow

Matty- Yes  If you slide down a rainbow you get a colorful bum

Me- Not if I only slide down one color

Matty- Only if the stripes are big enough

Me- your right

Matty- It sure would be fun to slide down a rainbow

Love moments like this.  It makes being a mom even in the tough times worth it.

Day 5

Botanical Gardens

The kids got a kick of the fly eating plants go figure at least they learned something

Capital

Because of our trip to the hospital we didn't have time to take a tour of the capital but at least they can say they were there.

We also went to the spy museum but you are not allowed to take pictures.  We all had a great time there and we were all wishing we could have spent a little more time there.

We had a great time in D.C. and can't wait to go back.  As for Steve and I we are loving the stage our family is at wish we could freeze them.  We are very grateful for our kids its funny to travel with them you hear people 1 2 3 4 5 five kids wow!!  But the best is the complements we get on how well mannered they are or how well they look out for each other.

Day 4 Continued

National Archives

The kids loved this I was surprised how much the got into this part of the trip seeing the Declaration of Independence's and many more important documents was really a great opportunity for them.  The facts they learned about these documents made it even more great.

See I can send them to the moon!!!  All of them loved the Air and Space museum.

Natural History Museum

We went into a butterfly cave here were there were all kinds and sizes of butterfly's flying around it was really cool, Matty did not like this part.  If the butterfly's landed on you, you could not flip them off a worker had to come remove them off of you.  It was really cool and the butterfly's were so pretty and big.

We didn't have alot of time here and it was so crowded but the kids had fun.

Our Vacations are earned through Steve's work and so they provide dinner and on the last night they set up a dance floor and the kids just love it they danced and danced until 10:00 you would think after all the walking we made them do they would have been to tired to dance but they had a blast and danced the night away

But after all that dancing they were tired and wore out.

As for tomorrow a few stops and by the end back in UTAH

Day 4

Washington Monument

Sorry they are both side ways

The kids were impressed on how tall this monument is and really wished they could have gone to the top but is is closed because of an earth quake.

Next we went to the National Aquarium this was one of Pey and Gracy favorite
The white house
