I have a 10 year old

Wyatt turned 10 this month. He has grown up so much this past year I cann0t believe it. He enjoys teasing everyone, going to the farm, being with his dad, and wrestling. He also has become more responsibile and more helpful I just don't know what I would do with out him. He cares for other and is always trying to make people happy. I just wanted him to know that we love him.

Fell asleep standing up

Gracy had fallen asleep in the van one day coming home from picking up the kids. She woke up and so I brought her in the house I figured she was done with her nap so I set her down and went back to helping Abby with her piano, when I turned around Gracy was asleep standing up. I picked her up and moved her on to the couch were she slept for about onther hour. I guess she was tired.

My big accomplishment

I finally found the secret to working out you need good friends. I finally found 2 that wanted to work out with me. Tara Heath and Ashley Belnap, I love working out them and the friendship that we have made. We started running and we hated it, then Tara got the idea to run a 5k I have always wanted to just didn't think I could finish. Well Tara kinda signed us up for the Turkey Trot, she was almost band from the group. But we can all say we finished my goal was to finish under 40 minutes and I did by 4 minutes. I think I would like to try another.

Turkey Trot

As a family we went and did the Turkey Trot

Abby and Matty ran the 1 mile.

Steve, Wyatt, and me ran the 5k Steve won a Turkey for last place he was pretty proud of his turkey.

I am going to make the change in a week.

Kara's Rock

All on Kara's Rock

They made it all the way to the very top

Mom and Peyton watching them climb to the top

In part of our trip to Capitol Reef we ate lunch at Kara's Rock the kids thought it was fun and a little bit of a challenge to get to the top. Kara is a cousin and my kids wanted to know how she bought this big Rock. They can't wait until we see her again to ask her.

Fall Recess

For Fall Recess we took the kids to Capitol Reef and hiked all day. We had a lot of fun. I really enjoy spending time with my family. We have done a little bit of hiking this year and have really enjoyed it and the kids want to go on a hike all the time now.

This is the hike to Chimney Rock which is about 3 miles and Gracy hiked the whole way there and most of it on the way back. She is quite the little hiker. Matty is hot on Wyatts trail and does what ever he does. As for Abby she was not to sure about how high we were getting but she made it and soon decided that hiking was really fun.

We had so much fun we have decided to go back next year and camp for a day so we can do more hikes. But we are not taking the dog because there are no dogs allowed on the trails.

Bump on the Head

Peyton has been walking for about 3 months now but this last week he has looked like we beat him. Steve was chasing him around the house and tickling him when he found our only corner on the kitchen cupboards. It scared Steve and I because it swelled up really big and really fast the pictures do not do it justice. I think we are luck that we didn't go for stitches. But everywhere I took him this week I think there was someone who thought maybe they should turn us in.

Cute but Crazy kids

I was trying to take a picture for our Chistmas Card but they were
all being just a little silly so I will try anther day.

America's Got Talent here we come

Over the last few week Peyton has become a very different child. I have always loved him but there were days I did not like him much. He has been a very very fuss baby. But I have come to find out that he is really really cute and fun. He has a dimple on his right check when he smiles it is so cute but am not sure we knew was there. He and Gracy get the Giggles and it is so funny to listen to those to laugh at each other. In the past if you roared at him he would cry now he laughs and roars right back at you. But one of the things Peyton enjoys doing is spinning my pan lids. He knows just how to flip the lid so that it spins on the floor, he is very good at it so look out America Peytons got Talent :)

Flag Football

This year Abby choose to play Flag Football instead of Soccer. She told us that she was going to play Flag Football until that career ended and then go back to Soccer since she can't play Football in High School. We hope next year she plays Soccer (Even though she was one of the best players on her Flag Football team) because she was the only girl in the league.

Wyatt also played Flag Football. He loves Football and can't wait until he plays tackle. Steve got to coach Wyatt's team. It has been nice since Steve started working for Farm Bureau he has been able to coach some of the kids sports.

Fishlake

Playing in the water at Twin Creeks

All five kids ready to go fishing

Such a dirty little guy I promise we Cleaned him up often he just enjoyed playing in the dirt and the rocks

Clean kids ready to go to Sleep in the Tent. I thought this would be interesting since I have such funny sleepers but they actually did really good.

Throwing rocks in the lake Wishing they didn't have to go home and start school.

Just before school started we went to Fishlake and camped for 3 nights. It was a lot of fun to get away and enjoy each other. It was also nice that Dad's Cell Phone didn't have service in Fishlake the kids thought that was really cool. We forgot our camera so we bought a disposable one and left it at camp most of the time.

We hiked over to the beach at Johnson and let the kids play in the sand and water. They didn't believe me there was a beach but once we finally got there they had a good time. The four older children and I hiked from Pelacon point to Bowery Heaven it was a lot of fun but the kids got a little nervous that we were going to run into a bear. We also did some fishing and biking.

Back to School

School started August 19th I was excited but a little torn. I was getting rid of my good help. Wyatt is in 4th grade and Abby in 2nd. Abby wanted to go to summer school and Wyatt wished summer was longer.

Peyton's 1

My baby is one and we survived the first year. Peyton loves to eat, so I knew when it came to cake time he was going to have a good time. He ate 2 cupcakes plus anyone who would give him another bite.

Gracy's 2

On June 10th Gracy turned 2 and couldn't get any cuter. When it came time to blow out the candles she was not to sure about it and backed away from the cupcakes until the fire was put out.

Reserve Grand Champion Pig

This year at the Fair was very exciting for Wyatt. He showed a Steer and a Pig.

It was his first year showing a steer and he was very nervous the first day but the judge told him that if he would just hit the steer in the nose he would mind, so on the second day he hit the steer in the nose and the steer minded he did a really good job with the steer.

This is Wyatt second year showing a pig and he took Reserve Grand Champion he was so excited. I love to see my children excited over things they have done. He got a huge belt buckle and is very proud of it.

Peyton's First Hair Cut

Not that he has much but he had a few long strands so it was time to give him a hair cut. He did so good he just stood there and got it buzzed. Isn't he a handsome little feller.

Live Aquarium

We went and Stayed with my Sister Megan for a week and helped her get ready for her new baby. While we were there we went to the Children Museum, played at the fountains at Gateway, went to the live Aquarium, and did our school shopping.

Lets comb daddys hair

Steve is such a good sport he lets the girls comb and do his hair.
(I think he enjoys it) He always looks so pretty when they are done.

Peterson 5 Starting Summer Vacation

Matty's World

I am way behind on adding pictures but I have had a hard time getting them on my computer
But I thought I should share some Matty moments

We went camping this summer and Wyatt called Shot Gun and not skipping a beat matty called BB Gun.

We have a tradition to go out to eat on the first day of school. We asked the waitress to refill the drinks and she said she would bring a pitcher out. Matty said she didn't want a picture she wanted a drink.

It is so funny sometime to see the world through her eyes.

Paino Player

Wyatt has been taking lessons for 2 years now and is getting pretty good. This was his spring recital and he did a wonderful job even tho he was very tired after the Father and Sons camp out.

Wyatt use to be our shy, nervous Nelly, never do anything in public kid, but the last 3 months we have seen a new Wyatt (not sure his mine). He played in the 3rd grade talent show and boor his testimony in sacrament twice all at his choice and with a smile. It is good to see this change in him, but he is growing up way to fast.

Powder Baby

Gracy found the Baby powdered and decided to help her self to a little or a lot! It was all over Abby's bed in the shoe and all over her. But who could get mad at that face?

Shh baby is sleep

Peyton is not a napper and cries for a few minutes after you lay him down. Abby thinking he had woke up gets him out of the crib and puts him on the floor, he crawled out into the hallway and went back to sleep. Because he does not take good naps we left him there suprisely 1 hour later he woke up.

Bubbles

Peyton loves to blow bubbles in the tub one of the many tricks Gracy has taught him.

Dancing Girls

It was the Spring Recital for Abby and Matty they both loving dancing and did a really nice job.
Matty's favorite part of dance is dancing on the big stage.
Abby would never admit it but she likes to get dressed up and perform.
Gracy can't wait until it is her turn.
