kittens

Peyton found these kittens at the farm last Sunday in kind of a bad way, Mom was dead and so were some of the kittens. There were 3 but one died on us. Now I have a love hate relationship with cats I like you at the farm killing mice but please do not touch me I am allergic. But I could not leave them there and they were not doing very well so we brought them home. The kids fed them with syringes and taught them how to lap milk these 2 are doing really well so we finally named them Sam and Bo and in a few week they will return to the farm to kill all the mice.

We had ducklings at our farm and ended up bring them home because the daddy ducks were not very nice we had 11 and 8 drowned. I feel like Peterson Rescue and am not the that brave I don't like to touch animals. The kids have done a great job at doing all the hands on stuff I just tell them what to do.

I would show pictures of the ducks cuz they are cute but my blog is giving me a bit of stress

Matts Busy week

Matty read a story to her class this week she was really excited. She read them My Dog Clifford and did a great job. Matty has become a great reader.

She also earned her Liberty Kid badge and school.

Amazing Opportunity

Matt got the opportunity to perform 2 numbers with BYU Ambassadors. Her first number she got to act like they were having fun she bounced a ball, pretended to be an animal, and to play a musical instrument. In the second number called bedtime story she was the little girl being read to by her mom and dad, it was a princess story and at the end they put the princess crown on her and she thought that was way cool. She did a great job and we are so proud of her.

We visited a couple of museum such as

National Archives which is where the Declaration of Independence is Which was way cool to see

National Museum of Natural History which was full of lots of cool things like the elephant below.

Today we spent most of our time at the Farm Bureau buildings in meetings and then we went to the State Capital (I know bad picture of the capital we will get a better one tomorrow when it is not raining) Where we got a tour of the Capital. We then talked with Representative Bishop.

To get to some of the places we go we ride the Metro which is like a train that runs under the ground. Its kind of fun and very entertaining

The castle was a monument on top of a hill called round top to show that part of the war was fought there. It made a great look out put for the war.

Yes that was a Cannon used in the War they could shoot a mile away. It took 6 horses to pull them around.

Today we started off with a sacrament meeting at the hotel then we headed of to Gettysburg. Which is where the Civil War was fought. They were fighting to free slaves and to keep our nation together.

John Dent took our picture his wife name is Jill and they live in Lewiston which is where we lived when Wy was born.

My Birthday was fun although I didn't get German Choc Cake I was able to keep it a secret until lunch where they sang to me then at dinner at a pizza restaurant they sang again I was pretty embarrassed.

Yes I got a couple of new shirts for the trip I thought that was pretty good eye considering I had my jacket on.

To start off today we toured the White House but they would not let you take pictures so we had to leave the camera on the bus.

2nd we went to Mount Vernon. This is where President George Washington lived. It is a farm that sits on the Potomac River it was really cool to tour.

Next we went to the Holocaust, which is a memorial museum about the Jews.
