Day 3

Arlington Cemetery

First stop on day 3 was another favorite of the whole family Arlington Cemetery.  Funny thing camera dies so I don't have a picture of the changing of the guards which is really neat to watch and feel of the humble spirit there.  I loved all the question this provoked out of my children and the knowledge they were able to gain here.

Like I mentioned before camera is dead just when we decide to add a little excitement to our trip.

Peyton bless his heart trips and falls into a sign at the Roosevelt monument and is in need of stitches.  Remember last year on vacation he knocked out his 4 front teeth, not sure he gets to go anymore.

It was kind of funny now that we can laugh it was with in minutes we had park rangers  police man fire fights about 20 of them were did they come from were they hiding in the trees and being in DC Steve and I just kept looking at each other like what now.  Well it is protocol that he had to go in the ambulance yes for 5 stitches there was some concern about a concussion.  Well if you know Peyton he was not to fond of anyone touching him and I finally looked at them and said please stop saying band aids cuz this little man hates them. We finally settle him down and he agrees to go in the ambulance but he is not getting on the bed so Steve just held him on the way to the hospital were they took very good care of him.

Doesn't he look happy like I mentioned before he hates band aids and he had to were them the rest of the trip but he was good about them almost hated not to have them on.

Day 2

Mt. Vernon

The kids loved Mt. Vernon and it is one of Steve's and I favorite spot Wy could have spent all day there.

Next National Zoo

Which proved to be a bust we were hoping that since we saved it for the evening the animals might be out but only the birds and a Red Panda showed off for us.

This Red Panda was fun to watch he flipped and ran all over the kids thought he looked like a fox

After the Zoo we decided to go for a Slurpee at seven 11 unknown to us it was seven 11's birthday and they were giving away free Slurpee's what a Bonus.   Funny it was my kids first Slurpee and they loved them.

Even with the zoo being a bust we had a great day and were all looking forward to tomorrow.



Washington DC Watch here we come!!! Day 1

Airport 4:00 am don't they look excited to take there first flight

Funny little twist to our morning in getting our flight they messed up and Steve, Wyatt, Abby, Matty fly out at 6:00 Yep you did your math right Mom, Gracy, and Peyton fly out 8:00.  How does that happen that I get grouped with the 2 youngest luck am sure of it.

This is Peyton picture from the Airplane Luck I told you these two were flying pros and did so good. What was I worried about.

Apparently not what I should have our flight had a layover in Dallas Texas the first flight no problems on schedule made it to DC no bumps.  2nd Flight me and the 2 youngest not so lucky we had a 2 hour lay over which was fine gave us plenty of time to find our gate which had a small blessing McDonald's right there happy meals for my 2 fliers they couldn't have been happier.  Time to board no no must wait 30 more minutes time to board again no no not sure we are going to fly today What??? did I hear right (yes this is when the tears started) waited  20 more minutes to here what the finally verdict which was we will be board in 15 minutes yeah yeah yeah!!!!

Finally we made it to our Hotel and all back together again

4th of July

This was just like any other 4th of July parade, Steve goes to the park I take kids home, swimming in the back yard, a BBQ, and fireworks. Why you ask do I and the kids not go to the park  I hate the park 5 kids ton of people and me left to do it by myself because Steve has found someone to talk to.  So this way we are all happy .

It was a good day and we all enjoyed it.

Happy Birthday

Grac and Pey both have birthdays this month so June feels like we party all month long!!

She's 6 and and I can't believe it.

Fun facts about her

She loves pink and purple and anything that sparkles

She is a very picky eater if it wasnt for yorgurts she would starve

Her favorite meal is Chinese Noodle Rice Cassrole

She love to read and for someone to read to her

For her Birthday she wanted a Mini-Mouse cake.  

And then it was Peyton's 5th Birthday doesn't he look happy!!!

His feet hit he floor at 7:00 and he started cring which lasted until about 12:30 WOW someday he will stop doing this right?   When each of my kids turned 5 I gave them a surpise party and I was following tradition but he cried all day that none of his friends came to his birthday so I cracked (In Grac's words pey didnt earn his surpise party) I told him they were coming at 1:00 and we were having a pool party in the backyard. Nope he says at the pool. No mom can't get in the pool with her chin (I got an infection in my chin and could not go swimming) crying starts again. Pey if you don't stop I will call off the party and your friends won't be able to come.  He knew I was done with his cring so he put an a smile and was a very happy boy the rest of the day.

It's been Crazy but fun

Since we moved we have been on the run.  To start of the Girls had there dance recital and did an amazing job.  I just love watching them dance. 

Next off was Grac program she was Little Bo Peep. She did a great job and was so excited to have a school program. 

Then we headed to Home Depot for a field trip and she got to throw a rock in the alligator pond out back of Home Depot which was the hit of the whole trip

 Next is Gymnastics for Grac Pey and Matt.  They enjoyed going Matt almost has her backhand spring all by her self she is really excited to master that trick

                     

 Then it was off to a Track meet for Wy.  He did the softball throw and took 3rd. The Standing long Jump and placed 3rd. And did one race and took 4th.  He did a great job and enjoyed it.   

     Up above is Abby at her School Program she was not very excited to do she did a great job and it is an awesome program on our country,

 And almost to the end is our Liberty kids award both girls received theirs and were very excited to get there badges

 Last but not least Pey Preschool Celebration at the park.  He had a great year at the District Preschool and is looking forward to going to Mrs Polly's next year.  He has come along ways and well be ready to go to kindergarten in a year.

Excited, Nervous, Alot of work, Change

We are moving not to far but our house finally sold and papers are signed and it s time to hit the road. We will miss the neighborhood, and probably our home but we are excited for our new home and neighbors. The kids are very excited the older 3 where mad at first and the last 2 were way excited but now everyone but Pey is excited and he doesn't want to move and he is terrified of me leaving him and our stuff kind of funny. Just some funnies the kids have said

(nope don't have to in the new house yeah for me won't have to cook or clean a kitchen anymore j/k haha)
